Several species of butterfly appear to be having a very good year in Cornwall.
This mating pair of Brown Argus were two of many seen amongst the dunes at Penhale Sands on the North Cornish coast.
The first Common Blues were also seen in areas with Birds-foot-trefoil.
Other species seen in good numbers earlier this year were Peacocks and Brimstones.
And by the end of April Orange-tip, Wall Browns , Holly Blue and Small Coppers also began showing in good numbers.
