Grey Seal on Black Rock

with No Comments
There are lots of good places to see Grey Seals around the south west coast of Cornwall and we are lucky to have them on our doorstep in Falmouth. Black Rock stands in the middle of the mouth of the Fal Estuary and when exposed at low tide often has seals basking on it.

They can be viewed from the shore at Pendennis Point on the west side of the estuary mouth with binoculars.

We saw this one last week from the boat when looking for the Bottlenose Dolphin pod we recently photographed and the first Basking Shark of the year. Hopefully we will have video and images of both these species on site soon – this weekend even if the weather holds!
