The BTO, British Trust for Ornothology, has issued a plea for people to keep feeding their garden birds during this sudden cold Easter snap.

The early mild weather has seen many birds nesting early and some already have eggs and even chicks to feed.

Here in our Cornish garden several species are nesting in the hedges bordering our garden and Blue Tits have been seen carrying food suggesting broods have already hatched in nest boxes.
