After the coldest night of the winter, down to 3C, the sun rose and we recorded 15 species of bird in the garden during one hours watching.

• Goldfinch – 4
• Herring Gull – 2

• Long-tailed Tit – 2
• Magpie
• Robin
• Woodpigeon – 2

Nothing remarkable showed and several species we would normally have expected to see such as Blackcap weren’t recorded. The largest number of any one species was 4 Goldfinch which wasn’t surprising as up to 20 regularly fly around the neighbouring gardens visiting seed feeders.
