Crown Vetch near Kynance Cove in Cornwall

with No Comments
On a trip looking for rarities at Kynance Cove we couldn’t just drive past this fine display of Crown Vetch on the roadside near the National Trust car park even though it’s not rare at all.

Insight into Crown Vetch (Securigera varia): an introduced species that has escaped from cultivation and has now naturalised and is scattered throughout the British Isles except north Scotland and Ireland.

The flowers, in June usually, can be white, purple or pink.
