The Island at St Ives in Cornwall

with No Comments
The Island or St Ives Head offers some of the best seabird watching in Cornwall with large numbers of seabirds to be seen at most times of the year. Birds such as Gannet, Guillemot, Razorbill, Cormorant, Shag and occasionally Puffin and passing Shearwater are attracted in close to The Island by shoals of Mackerel and Sand Eels.

There is the added bonus while watching the feeding seabirds of seeing Grey Seal, dolphins and porpoises which regularly show in St Ives Bay.

St Ives is also a great holiday destination with its close proximity to other fantastic bird-watching and wildlife places such as Godrevy Point, Gwithian Towans, the Hayle Estuary and Marazion Marshes.
