Greater Stitchwort show it’s Spring in Cornish hedgerows

These beautiful white flowers are abundant along the hedgerows and edges of the South West Coast Path around Mawnan at the mouth of the Helford Estuary in Cornwall.

Insight: Greater Stitchwort (Stellaria holostea) is common throughout the British Isles and flowers between April and June. It’s flowers are 20-30mm diameter which is considerable bigger than Lesser Stitchwort (Stellaria graminea) at 5-12mm.
