Insight: Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an evergreen herb with many culinary uses and medicinal properties. It seems to help with many ailments but don’t over use the leaves as they can be toxic!

Its ancient Latin name translates as “dew of the sea” and so it’s not surprising it can tolerate being grown near the sea.
